Method
The number of price changes during a bar on a broker's feed. CFDs like US30 show tick volume because they have no exchange count of contracts traded.
It tends to rise and fall with real activity, so it is useful for comparing bars on the same chart and timeframe — but the raw number differs between brokers and says nothing about how much was actually traded.
