Patterns
A three-candle bullish reversal: a large bearish candle, a small indecisive one, then a large bullish candle closing well into the first.
The three-candle sequence is the point: exhaustion, pause, then a decisive move the other way. That handover over time is generally what a real turn looks like, rather than one dramatic candle.
Classical definitions require gaps between the candles, which suits stocks. On a near-24-hour instrument like US30 gaps are rare, so the practical requirement is a genuinely small middle body.
